Design:
Designed by Canadian artist Silvia Pecota, your coin features full colour over an engraved hockey-themed scene set at an outdoor rink. The sun has set over this neighbourhood, but that hasn't stopped a group of youths from continuing their game well into the evening. Under the glow of a street light, five youths proudly wear their team colours and skates as they play over the mirror-like ice surface. While one player looks on, two players find themselves tied up in their efforts to get the puck; meanwhile, another player has possession of the puck and takes the shot—it's a goal! Kneeling on leg pads, the goaltender turns to look behind in disbelief at the puck in the net. Above the scene is the Montreal Canadiens® logo, with its iconic red “C” outlined in blue and white, and a smaller “H” inside.
