Design: The coin was designed by Canadian artist Steve Hepburn. It features a stylized baseball diamond, the four bases and pitcher's mound represented by classic symbols. The bottom of the diamond image is overlaid with two criss-crossed baseball bats. The entire image is layered over an abstract circling form that symbolizes the speed, skill and international inclusiveness associated with the tournament and is flanked on the right side by the official logo of the World Baseball Classic tournament.
