Design
The reverse design by Canadian artist Jesse Koreck features a holiday elf building birdhouses in the woods. The image centres on the smiling, pointy-eared elf as he hammers the final touches on his latest creation. The tiny, bearded figure wears a green hat, coat, and pants, all trimmed with fluffy white fur. His whimsical gold boots end in long, curled toes. The elf’s skin, clothing, boots, mallet, and latest birdhouse are coloured. The elf rests on a tree stump, a small lantern glowing beside him. His toolbox rests at his feet and a chickadee on the ground nearby gazes up at him as he works. Two other bird houses hang in the quiet winter woods behind the elf. A second chickadee perches on one of these little houses.
