Born in Quebec in 1971, Carlito Dalceggio knew from an early age that he would lead a unique path in life. In tandem with studies in graphic design at the Université du Québec à Montréal, he began to work seriously as an artist from his late teens. His artistic education extended to global travel in a quest to absorb syntax from the art traditions of other cultures, including those of certain countries in Africa (Mauritania, Morocco), Asia (Bali, Thailand, Cambodia, India), Turkey, Mexico and Brazil. Throughout his career, he has partnered with artists from around the world, establishing and participating in art collectives and working in virtually every medium, from fine arts, fashion and circus arts to photography, literature and film.
