2004-P Canadian 25-Cent Moose "Bullwinkle" Canada Day Series Quarter Coin (Brilliant Uncirculated)
The playful design of this Canada Day coin celebrates and emphasizes a playful humor, which is shared among all Canadians through kindness, regardless of language, culture or religion. Nick Wooster, 11, of Saanichton, British Columbia, submitted the winning design – a stylized illustration of a moose above snowy mountains – in a contest held earlier in the year. The Canada Day commemorative quarter was issued only in a Walking Bundle which included the 'Moose' 25-cent coin, T-shirt, water bottle, and pouch (fanny pack).
Design
The obverse design features Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in right profile at 77 years old, surrounded by the Latin inscription "ELIZABETH II D. G. REGINA". This effigy was designed by Susanna Blunt.
Reverse of the coin is designed by contest winner Nick Wooster (NW), age 11, drawing of a Moose, nicknamed the Bullwinkle quarter.
