1964 US 50-Cent Kennedy Half Dollar 90% Silver Original Coin Roll
The United States Mint first produced the Kennedy half dollars in 1964 a few months after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in Dallas, Texas. The nation was in mourning after the assassination of this popular president.
US Congress moved quickly to pass a law and eliminate the Franklin half dollar design and create a new 50-cent coin to commemorate President John F. Kennedy.
1964 was the first and only year that the 50-cent Kennedy Half Dollar was minted in 90% silver.

Portrait of John F. Kennedy to the left, date below.
Reverse
Modified presidential seal of the United States of America: A shield (with vertical stripes) on the chest of an American eagle. The eagle holds an olive branch on its right talon and a bundle of thirteen arrows on its left, and in its beak a scroll with "E PLURIBUS UNUM". A circle of stars surrounds the eagle.
Packaging
Each roll contains 20 US Mint issued 1964 US 50-Cent Kennedy Half Dollar coins in original unopened condition. Mint mark is not known.
