1998-2009 Canadian $15 Chinese Lunar Calendar Silver Coin Series

Beginning in 1998 with the Year of the Tiger, the Royal Canadian Mint embarked on a twelve year series of Chinese Lunar Calendar Coins. The twelve sterling silver coins were issued one per year to commemorate the start of each New Year of the twelve-year cycle. Originally available singlely or by Mint subscription, each single $15 Chinese Lunar Calendar Coin came in presentation box made of red velvet and gold moire. Also available was a subscription-only 13-hole red velvet presentation box including sterling silver medallion to hold the complete 12-coin set. 

1998-2009 Canadian $15 Chinese Zodiac Silver Coin & Stamp Series

Together with the Royal Canadian Mint, Canada Post also released its Chinese Zodiac Silver Coin & Stamp Series - a twelve year series of Chinese Lunar Calendar Coins and Chinese Zodiac Stamps in a book-style presentation box.
