1923 Dominion of Canada $1 Bill Note BCS Graded UNC-60
Design
This 1923 Dominion of Canada note features a central vignette portrait of King George V under the scrolled text "Dominion of Canada." At the bottom left and right, these notes were printed with the signature of the Deputy Minister of Finance (W.C. Clark) on the lower left side of the face. Once the notes were received by the Finance Department the C.E. Campbell signature and the seal were added to the notes.
The three main features that differentiate between varieties are the signatures, group number and colour of the Department of Finance seal. In this variety the seal of the Department of Finance was printed in black ink.
The back of the note shows an image of the Library of Parliament, the only surviving building from the Centre Block fire of 1916.
